Philanthropy

Philanthropy lies at the heart of Delta Gamma's values, serving as a powerful way to give back to the community and make a meaningful impact in the lives of others. Through our dedication to Service for Sight and other charitable initiatives, we strive to promote compassion, leadership, and social responsibility. Participating in philanthropic efforts allows our members to grow individually and collectively, strengthening bonds within our sisterhood while making a lasting difference in the world around us. It is through service that we uphold our commitment to doing good and embody the true spirit of Delta Gamma.

Locally, DGLV supports the Nevada Blind Children's Foundation (NBCF), a non-profit aimed at providing educational support for children who are blind or visually impaired. Nevada is one of only a few states without a school for the blind, so NBCF hosts educational after-school programs, including tutoring, book club, and technology training.

Help DGLV make a difference by:

  • Finding out more about NBCF at www.nvblindchildren.org
  • "Like" NBCF on Facebook
  • Volunteer
  • Make a difference in a child's life by donating HERE

If you are interested in learning more about how you can help NBCF, please contact us at deltagammalv@gmail.com.

DGLV also supports various other philanthropic organization such as The Achilles Foundation. Volunteer with The Achilles Foundation by acting as a guide runner/walker for an athlete with a disability. Reach out to Merie McGrath and Ed Robichaud at achilleslasvegas@gmail.com if you're interested in volunteering. The Achilles Foundation hosts an event every weekend and volunteers meet at the Lakes Lounge on Saturdays and Cornerstone Park in Henderson Nevada underneath the pavilions on Sundays.

We also recommend giving back by reaching out to the below organizations and volunteering when you can:
